FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQS)

Q1. What is prelude, Grade I, Grade II and Grade III?
They are the name of music programs/courses both for Guitar as well as keybaord. Each Guitar grade covers 12 compositions comprising of both Indian as well as western genres/melodies (like jingles, folk, pop etc.) Besides it covers rigorous finger training exercise as warm-ups, scales, scales & plectrum -approaches, strength building exercise and various techniques of the instrument as hammer on, pull off, trill etc. It further covers chords, chords progressions, chord application, chord construction, various chord categories as major- minor with dis chords
etc. The course covers basic music theory as notes, frequency, pitch, meter, rhythm, tempo, scale, interval, tuning, basic notation method, ear training etc.
Q2. What is Rock/Raga module?
Guitar has a plethora of genres but the basics of guitar remains same. Rock Module covers exclusive study on Rock Rudiments, popular rock riffs. Raga Module is for advanced learners who have atleast covered rudiments or Grade- 1. This module covers Indian classical theory as
raga and its aspects as thaat, aroh-avroh, pakad (cognitive phrase), Basic Alaaps, Taans development, Taal Study as teen Taal on tabla, Taal theory besides ear training etc.
The specialty of this module is fusion of ragas theory merged and applied on western instrument as guitar, fusing raga scales with western scales for example Raga Baageshri via Dorian mode, Bhopali raga via major pentatonic scale, Bilawal raga via diatonic major scale etc.
Q3. What are the qualifications of teachers?
